Eric Korsten is a Managing Director of Argand.  He has been active in private equity and finance for over 25 years.  Prior to joining Argand, he was a Partner at Soundcore Capital Partners, and before then, Eric was a Senior Managing Director and Investment Committee member at Branford Castle Partners, where he worked for over a decade helping launch and grow two private equity funds. While at Branford, Eric led numerous investments across a variety of industries and held board seats on a number of boards, including notable investments in Surface Preparation Technologies and Pulse Veterinary Technologies.  Earlier in his career, Eric was an investment banker focused on M&A, restructuring and capital markets at several investment banks, including Jefferies & Co.

Eric graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. and holds an M.B.A. from New York University – Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Gerald Lizzo is an Associate of Argand. Previously, he was an Investment Banking Associate at Piper Sandler in New York, where he focused on M&A advisory within the chemicals industry. Prior to Piper Sandler, Gerald was at Mizuho in New York focused on corporate finance and capital market transactions within the industrials space. Gerald graduated summa cum laude from Macaulay Honors College at Baruch, CUNY with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies in NYC.

Janel Maki serves as Compliance Officer & Operations Manager at Argand Partners assisting the CFO with special projects. She has provided administrative services for over 20 years at venture capital and other for-profit firms, including (currently) Salmon River Capital LLC and (formerly) StoneWater Capital LLC and Price Waterhouse, after starting her career in the non-profit sector at The Rockefeller University. She holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations from Long Island University/C.W. Post.

Joseph Merritt is an Executive Assistant at Argand Partners. He has over ten years of professional experience working directly with executives combined with customer service/support.  Joseph previously worked for SHI as an Inside Account Manager and at the New Brunswick Parking Authority as an Operations & Marketing Analyst. Joseph has a B.A. in Business from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Howard D. Morgan is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Argand as well as a member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee. He has been active in mid-market private equity for over 35 years. Howard was the President of Castle Harlan from 2010 to 2015 and joined Castle Harlan in 1996. From 1998 until 2015 he was also a member of the Board and associated investment committees of CHAMP Private Equity (now known as CPE Capital) from its inception. Previously, Howard was a partner at The Ropart Group, a private equity investment firm, and began his career as an Associate at Allen & Company, Inc. Howard is a Director and past Chairman of the Harvard Business School Club of New York, Director and immediate past Chairman of the Parkinson’s Foundation, a Director of the Alexander Hamilton Institute and the World Press Institute, a Director and Treasurer of the Friends of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and a Trustee of the Naval War College Foundation. Mr. Morgan was a Director and officer of the Harvard Business School Alumni Board from 2006-2011. He received his B.A. from Hamilton College in Mathematics and Government and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Howard is a Director of Brintons Carpets, Concrete Pumping Holdings, Inc. (Chair, NASDAQ: BBCP) and OASE Living Water. He is a former director of over one dozen companies, including Industrea Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: INDU), Shelf Drilling, Pretium Packaging, IDQ Holdings, Securus Technologies, Baker & Taylor, Polypipe Global Holdings, Austar United Communications Ltd., Norcast Wear Solutions, AmeriCast Technologies, Ion Track Instruments, Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing, Penrice Soda Products, and various CHAMP entities.

Joyce Schnoedl is a Partner of Argand. Previously, she was a Vice President of Castle Harlan, where she focused on private equity transactions across a variety of industries, including portfolio work for Gold Star Foods, Baker & Taylor, RathGibson and Perkins & Marie Callender’s. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Joyce was an investment professional at J.H. Whitney & Co., where she focused on investments across consumer, specialty manufacturing, healthcare and business services sectors. Previously, she worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she focused on merger advisory and financing transactions for global healthcare clients. Joyce graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Economics and earned her M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School with first-year Honors.

Joyce is involved with the portfolio management of Brintons Carpets and Concrete Pumping Holdings, Inc. She is a former director of Brintons Carpets, Sigma Electric, Gold Star Foods and Baker & Taylor.

Riley Strassner is an Associate of Argand. Previously, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Canaccord Genuity in New York, where he focused on strategic M&A within the Technology industry. Prior to Canaccord Genuity, Riley was a Risk & Financial Advisory Analyst at Deloitte – specializing in financial transformation and digital controllership. Riley graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S.B.A in Finance and OPIM (Operations & Information Management).
