Tariq Osman

Tariq Osman is a Partner and Co-Founder of Argand as well as a member of its Management and Investment Committees. Previously he was a Managing Director at Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Mr. Osman worked with Castle Harlan’s affiliate, CHAMP Private Equity, where he focused on private equity transactions across a wide range of industries, including portfolio management work for International Energy Services, Blue Star Group and Austar United Communications. Previously, Mr. Osman worked at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. In this role, he advised clients across multiple industrial sectors on strategy and operational improvements. Mr. Osman began his career in Australia as an engineer at Gutteridge, Haskins & Davey, working on oil and gas, mining and government telecommunications infrastructure projects. Mr. Osman’s experience also includes charitable business development work in Southern Africa with non-governmental organization, TechnoServe. In this role, Mr. Osman advised the Mozambican government and local entrepreneurs on various agricultural projects, including the co-founding and financing of one of Mozambique’s largest fruit exporters, Citrum.

Mr. Osman is currently a Director of Brintons Carpets (Chairman), Concrete Pumping Holdings (Vice Chairman, NASDAQ: BBCP) and Sigma Electric Manufacturing. He is also a former Director of the Blue Star Group, Caribbean Restaurants, Citrum, Gold Star Foods (Chairman), Hercules Offshore, Industrea Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: INDU), International Energy Services and Shelf Drilling. He holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton Graduate School of Business, a Masters of Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
