Argand Partners Adds Catherine Clancy Mandell as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Argand Partners, the New York and San Francisco-based middle market buyout firm, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Catherine Clancy Mandell as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Ms. Mandell will lead the firm’s legal, compliance and regulatory functions. She will also work with the team on matters related to deal execution, fundraising, and operations, and will serve as a resource for portfolio company management teams.  “The depth of Catherine’s experience working with funds as well as the breadth of her experience across corporate matters will be an asset to the firm and our portfolio companies.  Her experience aligns with Argand’s philosophy of having an institutional team that can also provide meaningful support for the portfolio company management teams.  We are excited to have Catherine join us,” commented Heather Faust, Partner and Managing Director.

Ms. Mandell previously served as Counsel for American Express, where she advised the company’s Global Commercial Services business and earned the American Express and Harvard Certificate in Leadership Excellence. Before joining American Express, Ms. Mandell worked as a corporate attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. She focused her practice on the structuring, offering and ongoing management of private equity and hedge funds, as well as M&A, securities and regulatory compliance.
